NEW BOOKING POLICY

Status Updates! 21st September – Extended cancellation and re-schedule policies to assist travelers.

Special policies for any new bookings received between 01 January 2021 and 31 December 2021:

We understand that uncertain times such as the COVID-19 Pandamic need special policies to meet the need of flexibility and safety for our travelers. Therefore, we have designed a special policy to cater this needs and stimulate the booking of new trips:

Re-scheduling policy:

Booking period: All bookings received between 12 March 2020 and 31 December 2021

Travel period: All arrivals between 12 March 2020 and 31 December 2021.

Rebooking’s should be requested no later than 14 days before arrival, if requested later, they will be handled case-by-case.
Above periods may be extended or shortened depending on the development of the COVID pandemic.

    Rebooking to a new date is allowed within 365 days from the original travel date.

    Only actual incurred fees from third party suppliers will be charged in case of a re-booking i.e. (but not limited to)

  • Flight change fees
  • Adjustment in hotel rates/alternate seasons
  • Re-issuance/change fees of trains, busses, ferries
  • Cancellation fees/change fees of third party suppliers as per their discretion, including any already made deposits

Happy Trails! Team will work closely with all suppliers to ensure that any additional costs are kept to a minimum. Availability of the same accommodation/services cannot be always guaranteed on new dates. However, our team will assist to ensure a suitable alternative if required. Any already made payments will be used for the adjusted booking.

Special option for flights
As domestic flights are a higher risk element of the trip, we offer the option to book the domestic flights only at 14 days before arrival (new bookings only), therefore limiting the possible cancellation fees. However, in case the domestic flight prices are higher than initially budgeted, this difference will be charged accordingly. This is possible for all domestic flights, except below routes (v.v.) due to extremely limited availability: Denpasar – Maumere / Denpasar – Ende / Miri – Mulu / Kuching – Mulu / Mulu – Kota Kinabalu ; If you would like to opt for this, please inform us.

Special notes:

This special adjustment of policies is temporary and may be revised at any time. A one week notice period will be provided in case of adjustments.

Note:
For all bookings with arrival after 1 June which have already been cancelled prior the newest adjustment today, the policy at the time of cancellation is applicable.
