Malaysia re-opens to foreign tourists via the Langkawi Travel Bubble We are happy to announce that Malaysia has re-opened to foreign tourists via the Langkawi Travel Bubble Pilot Program. This first step to welcoming tourists back to Malaysia allows travelers from non-risk countries to visit Langkawi without quarantine requirements, and after a 7 day stay on the island explore the rest of Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo. Some of the key facts of the program are: – All countries are welcome, except some high-risk countries – No quarantine in the hotel, simply test on arrival in Kuala Lumpur or Langkawi and enjoy the island destination – Possibility to freely explore Malaysia after 7 days on the island – All services shall be arranged by a MOTAC licensed Travel Agent. Happy Trails! is MOTAC licensed and Travel Safe Malaysia verified in Malaysia, hence our team is ready to assist your clients with their trip to Malaysia via Langkawi. Within Langkawi and Malaysia, most tourist attractions are operational under respective local covid regulations. Singapore continues to extend its Vaccinated Travel Lane Program Good news! Singapore has further extended its Vaccinated Travel Lane Program (VTL) to a variety of countries, the applicable countries at current are: Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, the Netherlands, the Republic of Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. Furthermore, in the midst December, the following countries will be added: Thailand, Cambodia, Fiji, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Turkey This makes it now even possible to combine a multi-country trip between Singapore and Malaysia (via air travel) without any quarantine requirements throughout the trip.. However travellers are required to have only travelled to/transited via any VTL (Air) countries/regions Category I countries/Regions (Hong Kong, Macao, Mainland China, Taiwan), and/or Singapore, in the last consecutive 14 Days before depature for Singapore. The Vaccinated Travel Lane program offers travelers from the above-mentioned countries the possibility to visit Singapore without quarantine after testing negative on arrival at the airport. A step forward to the reopening of the country’s borders and welcoming foreign tourists again! |
Reduced working hours in our Happy Trails! Offices
Due to the current developments of the COVID-19 situation, our Indonesian and Malaysian Teams have started to work reduced working hours until further notice. Our office is closed every Wednesday and Fridays commencing 1 January and are happy to assist you on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
We highly appreciate your understanding and apologize in case of any delays.
While we are in the middle of the COVID pandemic crisis our thoughts at Happy Trails! Asia are also to these communities that need help. Happy Trails! Asia has a CSR program to give back to communities in need. We know that every donation will make a huge difference to their quality of living.
In addition to the support from Happy Trails! Asia, we try to fundraise more support because we see that certain communities are now in more need and large parts of their funding has dried up due to COVID-19. Hence, we ask if you may want to reach out as well to support.
