Welcome back to the island of the Gods

As you possibly had already read in the media, Bali has officially re-opened for international tourism as per 14 October 2021. However, as the final and verified details were just released in the past few days, we awaited to update you until all requirements were clear. Thank you for your patience!

The re-opening to Bali commences with a small step initially, in which a selected 19 countries can arrive directly into the island, namely: Bahrain, China, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Republic Korea, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Norway, France, United Arab Emirates, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Spain, and Sweden.

Currently, as a mandatory requirement to enter the country, a quarantine of 5 days 4 nights in the confinement of a hotel room at travelers’ own expense is part of the re-opening.

What is the current situation in Bali and Indonesia?

Whilst Bali re-opens the borders, domestic tourism has started up again on the island for those vaccinated, resorts, attractions, sights, and restaurants are operational and welcome guests daily with the necessary health protocols. Furthermore, with new positive cases being consistently below 100 a day, there is a lot to be grateful for.
Therefore, Bali is ready to welcome international visitors again!

Furthermore, the vaccination within Bali progresses smoothly as well:

Within Indonesia, the country continues the transition from a pandemic to an endemic state. Within most islands, infection numbers are decreasing dramatically whilst vaccination numbers of over 270 million inhabitants are progressing well. Sights in certain regions have re-opened such as Yogyakarta and the Gili Islands.

Furthermore, the vaccination within Indonesia progresses steadily, as it is a large and remote country:

Reduced working hours in our Happy Trails! Offices

Due to the current developments of the COVID-19 situation, our Indonesian and Malaysian Teams have started to work reduced working hours until further notice. Our office is closed every Wednesday and Fridays commencing 1 January and are happy to assist you on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

We highly appreciate your understanding and apologize in case of any delays.

While we are in the middle of the COVID pandemic crisis our thoughts at Happy Trails! Asia are also to these communities that need help. Happy Trails! Asia has a CSR program to give back to communities in need. We know that every donation will make a huge difference to their quality of living.

In addition to the support from Happy Trails! Asia, we try to fundraise more support because we see that certain communities are now in more need and large parts of their funding has dried up due to COVID-19. Hence, we ask if you may want to reach out as well to support.
